Oklahoma is one of the main wintering grounds for Lessor Canadas in the United States and we are right in the middle of it. Large Spins and Stacks have been the staple of our service since 2014.

November- Most years we start seeing huntable numbers of geese around the middle of the month.  These early birds are easy to trick and finish extremely well, however there is less of them, groups booking 3 or more days should expect to hunt ducks as well.

December-  Now were talking.  Goose numbers should balloon to peak around Christmas with the possibility of a three day party hunting geese at least 2-3 days of their trip.  Geese are still relatively fresh and finish extremely well.

January-  January Goose hunting is 100% reliant on the weather.  Our geese will winter here, however winter weather should cause geese in Colorado and Kansas to make an appearance maintaining quality all the way to end.

February Late Goose-  We refer to this time as Overtime.  The last few years these have been some of the most productive and consisent trips of the year.  Mainly due to to fact that the pressure drops to almost nothing other than us.  

 

 

Decoy sets are set-up and torn down every day.  Rarely do we hunt the same field back to back to ensure the freshest birds possible. Hunters can expect a brilliant show of Lesser Canada Geese finishing at their feet. All blinds, calling, and decoys are provided by The Goose Reaper Staff. These hunts typically run to 11 AM or until a legal limit has been filled.
